ARI today announced Craig Pierce has been promoted to Vice President of U.S. Sales and will now oversee the company’s sales efforts throughout the United States.

Ruth Alfson Appointed Fleet Manager for City of Cincinnati
Ruth Alfson, CAFM, has been appointed to the position of Fleet Manager for the City of Cincinnati, Ohio. Alfson supervises a staff of some 50 people, located in several city garages throughout Cincinnati.
Alfson served as president of NAFA Fleet Management Association in 2015-2017. In 2018, Alfson was honored with NAFA's Distinguished Service Award. In 2006, she was presented with NAFA's Excellence in Education Award.
Alfson says, "There are several projects that are on the horizon, namely going out on RFP for in-house parts management and ramping up the City's efforts to be a 100% Green Fleet by 2035.
I am looking forward to working with all of the wonderful people who make the City of Cincinnati a premier destination for shopping, food and the arts."
Fleet Logistics Appoints Christophe Martinet as Country Head for France

Christophe Martinet is a specialist in the management, optimization and development of professional fleets of all sizes from two to more than 60,000 units, and has experience in working across different transport sectors, including motorbikes, cars, vans and heavy goods vehicles.

The Coronavirus Crisis Could Shut Auto Plants Around The World
The human cost of China's coronavirus outbreak is tragic and the cost to businesses around the world could also become severe in the coming weeks - it only takes one missing part to stop a line.

Auto plants could be among the first to feel the impact. China is a major supplier of parts to auto plants around the world -- shipping nearly $35 billion of parts in 2018, according to UN data. You can't build a car with only 99% of its parts.

UK Will Ban New Gasoline And Hybrid Cars By 2035
Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced Tuesday that the UK government will now ban the sale of new gasoline-powered cars five years earlier than planned.
It brings the day of reckoning to some point in 2035. Previously, the plan was to end the sale of new vehicles powered only by fossil fuels in 2040, identical to the timeline France plans to follow. Norway has proposed the most aggressive ban, to start in 2025. .
"There can be no greater responsibility than protecting our planet," Johnson said, "and no mission that a global Britain is prouder to serve."
