AMPLY Power is tapping environmental technology nonprofit WattTime to provide its electric vehicle, bus, and truck customers with access to emission reductions data and the ability to automatically charge when GHG emissions from electricity generating plants are low.
“Easy access to insights surrounding the carbon emissions of the energy they source is invaluable for fleets who wish to charge when energy is greener,” said Gavin McCormick, cofounder and Executive Director at WattTime.
“Fleets need insights to help them make more informed decisions when sourcing electricity—including a mechanism to avoid purchasing energy that is not renewable or too high in GHGs,” said Vic Shao, CEO and founder of AMPLY Power.
Most Are Likely to Cancel Existing Trips Without Rescheduling
U.S. business travelers are scaling back travel plans amid rising COVID-19 cases, with 67% planning to take fewer trips, 52% likely to cancel existing travel plans without rescheduling, and 60% planning to postpone existing travel plans, according to a new national survey conducted by Morning Consult on behalf of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA). 71% are likely to attend fewer in-person events or gatherings.
Despite an uptick in leisure travel over the summer, the new survey highlights the dim outlook for business travel and events, which account for more than half of hotel revenue and aren’t expected to return to pre-pandemic levels until 2024.
When shoppers are considering the purchase or lease of an electric vehicle (EV), one of the first questions they ask is, "how much does it cost to charge?" Fortunately, there's ample information to help you determine the cost to charge almost any electric vehicle available in the marketplace, and the math involved is pretty simple.
Charging an EV at home is dramatically less expensive than fueling a gasoline or diesel vehicle. The cost is based on the vehicle's energy efficiency and the cost of electricity, which can vary greatly.
When you're charging your electric car from a public charging station, you can be billed either by the cost of electricity or the amount of time you spend tethered to the station. In some cases, you won't be billed at all.
