Clean Energy Adding More Natural Gas Fueling Stations

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. will be building a natural gas fueling station at the LA-Ontario International Airport. The station will be selling 800,000 gallons of natural gas a year to airport shuttle buses, taxis, and vans. By the end of the year, the company expects to have 200 stations in operation across the country.

NAFA Seeking Alt-Fuel, Hybrid Tax Credits for Public Service Fleets

NAFA Fleet Management Association is working on obtaining tax credits for public service fleets on alternative fuel and hybrid vehicles. The proposal was submitted to allow state and local government and other tax exempt entity fleets to take advantage of tax credits for the environment and being fiscally responsible.

 

J.D. Power Report: Increase in Number of Online Used Car Shoppers

More than three-fifths of used-vehicle buyers originally plan to purchase a certified pre-owned model when they set out on the shopping process, according to the J.D. Power and Associates' 2009 Used-Vehicle Market Report. The study also found that online shopping has become essentially on par with dealership visits when it comes to sourcing used cars.

Sterling, both GM truck brands and Caterpillar engines are abandoning the medium-duty truck market. Many customers are uncertain where they will buy next, but Freightliner, Ford and Cummins engines are expected to be the biggest beneficiaries.
