More than three-fifths of used-vehicle buyers originally plan to purchase a certified pre-owned model when they set out on the shopping process, according to the J.D. Power and Associates’ 2009 Used-Vehicle Market Report. The study also found that online shopping has become essentially on par with dealership visits when it comes to sourcing used cars.
