Richard Mallek, Director of Business Development for vehicle remarketing pioneer FLD Remarketing, gives viewers a quick look at highlights and insights from fleet's biggest conference of the year, Work Truck Week 2025. Find out what people were talking about: what was hot (and what was not) and what Rich predicts for remarketing in the year ahead.
Tesla claimed over 1 million reservations for the Cybertruck, and CEO Elon Musk said he could see Tesla producing 500,000 units per year.
The Cybertruck has now been in production for a year and a half, and it looks like Tesla would be lucky to sell about 10% of Musk’s goal of 500,000 units. The automaker doesn’t report Cybertruck sales, but it is estimated that Tesla delivered roughly 40,000 Cybertrucks in 2024, and it is expected to have even more issues selling the truck this year.
Musk himself said "We dug our own grave with the Cybertruck". In so many ways.
FMW’s Ted Roberts and Dave Bean returned from NTEA’s Work Truck Week 2025 full of praise for yet another outstanding conference. As did FLD’s Director of Business Development, Richard Mallek, who gives us his thoughts on the event and some predictions for the year ahead.
One of the issues concerning our industry has been the shortage of fleet maintenance technicians. So, when FMW interviewed Kevin Clark, Interim VP of Sales at Fleet Services by Cox Automotive, we were eager to learn about the company’s winning approach to these challenges.
In his monthly Call to Action column, fleet marketing expert Ed Pierce writes a terrific piece on how a combined branding and marketing strategy for B2B companies can produce leads and sales. Impressive!
