Los Angeles has, by far, the worst traffic problem in America, with some of the “nastiest gridlock” facing cities along the West Coast, according to navigation company Tom Tom. New York and a number of booming metro areas in the South are also facing major traffic problems, according to the Tom Tom Traffic Index.
But American commuters actually have it easy compared to their counterparts in many other parts of the world. Globally, Los Angeles ranked only tenth, according to the new study, far behind Mexico City, Bangkok and Istanbul which, Tom Tom reported, have the worst roadway congestion of any major cities around the globe.

Auto companies, technology giants and academics gathered before of Senate committee to talk about the coming wave of autonomous vehicles and what it means, what’s expected and what should be next and they all focused on one point: rules.
The Senate Commerce committee was repeatedly told that while self-driving vehicles aren’t quite ready for primetime, one of the reasons why is that there is no standard set of rules that they’ll be governed by once they are ready to be turned loose.
With no nationwide set of regulations, it’s difficult to develop the vehicles because the conditions are different from state to state.
One of the many strengths of NAFA's annual conference, the Institute & Expo, is the lineup of keynote speakers that bring their ideas, their passion, and life lessons to the stage year after year.
2016 exemplifies this with three individuals who will bring stunning information to this year's conference!
The 2016 Institute & Expo takes place April 19-22 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.
The event program, created by fleet managers for fleet managers, features fleet training, education, and workshops; and an Expo Floor consisting of more than 200 companies showcasing their products and services, including the Expo Floor Green Zone, showcasing the latest products and services touting sustainable practices.
It’s equipped with advanced-driver assistance systems.
Honda is making waves for the relatively puny price tag it’s attached to its new Civic LX Sedan that can be purchased with autonomous driving capability. The vehicle costs $20,440, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The Civic’s low price is noteworthy because it puts the ADAS technology—which is thought to mitigate the dangerous effects of distracted driving—within the reach of young drivers, who need it most. Drivers 15- to 19-years-old are most likely of any age group to be distracted when they’re involved in a fatal car crash. Likewise, drivers in their 20s are also prone to distracted driving.
