C.J. Driscoll & Associates has released a new multi-client marketing research study covering interest, use, and satisfaction of U.S. fleet operators with Mobile Resource Management systems and services.
The 2017-18 Survey of Fleet Operator Interest in MRM Systems and Services assesses fleet operator interest in GPS fleet management systems, driver behavior management systems, and GPS-equipped handset/portable solutions for managing mobile workers.
The study details the principal motivations of fleet operators for deploying MRM solutions and the operational and financial benefits derived from these systems.
Delphi Automotive and BlackBerry are joining forces to develop self-driving vehicles.
Smartphone pioneer BlackBerry, based in Waterloo, Ontario, will provide the operating system for Delphi’s autonomous driving system, which is called Centralized Sensing Localization and Planning and is expected to launch in 2019.
Delphi, an auto supplier that was the parts division of General Motors, is headquartered in the United Kingdom, with U.S. operations based in Troy.
Life sciences company, Bayer Plc, has outsourced the management of its UK fleet of 450 cars to fleet management specialist Fleet Logistics.
Fleet Logistics already manages around 3,400 cars across Europe on Bayer’s behalf, in Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, and Italy.
In the UK, Bayer operates an essential user fleet for all employees who travel more than 10,000 business miles a year, plus vehicles across a range of management levels.
