Driver training today is broken, and requires too much manager involvement — so Predictive Coach is on a mission to fix it. Their pioneering technology automates and improves the process in order to make safety culture attainable.
The fleet and automotive industries have nurtured, inspired and sustained so many of us, and it’s always great to find ways to give something back. The Hourglass Foundation offers just such an opportunity with their Triple Impact Challenge, a fundraising initiative that runs the entire month of April.
The goal is to raise $5,000 in 30 days to help support The Foundation’s four most recent student scholarship recipients—each pursuing educational endeavors in Automotive Technology, Diesel Mechanics, or Aviation Maintenance Technology. Read more and donate HERE.
A Culture of Safety
It’s no understatement to say that safety is the foundation of successful operations for fleet organizations. Amidst the many strategies available for cultivating a culture of safety, one truly helpful driver risk management solution is Mentor by eDriving. Read more HERE.

In case you missed it, there's been a lot of discourse surrounding electric vehicles and tires lately. Not only do EVs wear through their rubber and roads quicker because of their relatively extreme heft, but the instant power they put down also accelerates the process.
Owners are shocked to learn this firsthand because, as J.D. Power reports, their daily drivers chew through tires like they're going out of style. And not only that, but many were supposedly never told this would happen. This points to a few failings in the car buying process. Since J.D. Power's studies show that EV owners typically anticipate similar tire wear as internal combustion car owners, it shows that adoption has leapfrogged education. This can be true for both buyers and sellers at new car dealerships.
IntelliShift, the next-gen fleet intelligence platform for safety and operations teams, announced the appointment of Kerynn Holtzman as its new Chief Experience Officer (CXO).
Holtzman brings over two decades of experience in the telematics, transportation and logistics sectors, having worked with industry leaders like EROAD and SkyBitz.
“Delivering an exceptional customer experience is at the heart of what we do at IntelliShift and we are thrilled to welcome Kerynn to our leadership team,” said Henry Popplewell, CEO at IntelliShift.

Commercial EVs have requirements for wintertime operation that are somewhat different from those of their diesel counterparts, necessitating a departure from traditional winterization practices.
Despite being one of the least visible components, thermal management is one of the most critical EV systems since temperature impacts vehicle range, charging time, and battery life expectancy.
Thermal management is essential for all contemporary EVs, including passenger cars. However, e-buses, off-highway machinery, and other heavy-duty applications usually require dedicated, active systems.
Seasonal upkeep for commercial EVs may differ slightly from traditional internal combustion engines, but fleet managers can streamline this process by prioritizing diagnostic and maintenance software, including thermal management systems.
