The redesigned 2013 Nissan Altima sedan has been given a five-star overall vehicle safety rating by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Altima coupe received a five-star rollover rating in federal crash tests, but is still waiting for an overall rating. The 2012 Altima had received a four-start overall rating.
