Following the announcement that both Ford and GM will adopt Tesla’s NACS connector in future electric vehicles in North America, EV charging companies have announced that they, too, will support the connector.
No other automaker has announced support since GM yet, but as expected, charging station companies are quickly jumping on board. ChargePoint is the latest to say that it will soon have NACS connectors on its DC fast-chargers. More companies are expected to make similar announcements in the coming days.

Tesla’s controversial Autopilot driver assistance system has been involved in 736 crashes since 2019, the Washington Post reports. A similar report published last summer found fewer than 300 such crashes.
Tesla has marketed the systems aggressively, making some misleading claims. In 2016, the company released a video allegedly showing a car using Autopilot to navigate traffic lights.
“Tesla is having more severe — and fatal — crashes than people in a normal data set,” former NHTSA senior safety adviser Missy Cummings told the Post.
