Keeping Up with Industry Trends
I was fortunate to attend two fantastic events last week: The Work Fleet Forum in Las Vegas, and the Fleet Forward & Fleet Safety Conferences in Santa Clara. Both offered timely, insightful content with a nice mix of networking. Tod Trousdell wrote a rundown of what happened at The Work Fleet Forum and you can catch up on it here.

MoveEV, an AI-powered EV transition company for vehicle fleets, and Healthy Babies Bright Futures have teamed up to raise awareness surrounding the harmful health effects of gas tailpipe toxins on babies and kids.
“Increased exposure to these harmful air pollutants during infancy directly impacts brain development and function leading to, for some, a loss of the equivalent of a month of elementary school,” said Kyra Naumoff Shields, PhD, the Bright Cities Program Director for Healthy Babies Bright Futures.

In honor of Veterans Day 2023, we're spotlighting Alante Rhoden, a dedicated Cox Automotive Mobility’s Fleet Services member who has transitioned his military skills into the civilian sector.
Alante spent eight years as a 91 Bravo in the Army, where he was responsible for repairing all wheeled vehicles regardless of size.

While they offered strong protection during the side impact collision test, all four large pickups in the front crash test fared less than desirable in protecting those who may be in the back seats.
“Like most other vehicle classes, large pickups don’t perform as well in the new moderate overlap evaluation as they do in the updated side test, which is now a requirement for our TOP SAFETY PICK awards,” said IIHS President David Harkey.
