Chrysler has not spent money on trying to rebuild its image with consumers since coming out of bankruptcy in June 2009 because it had no new product to promote. It will spend on a national campaign now that the redesigned Jeep Grand Cherokee is hitting showrooms.

Valuable engine data is now available on medium-duty trucks as it has been for years on heavy-duty applications. Access can be tricky without an investment in telematics to read and transfer data, but information such as fuel use, idle times, power take-off use, speeding, and hard braking incidents can be valuable management tools.
GM will offer financing from 3.9% down to 1.9% on select certified used vehicles through June 30. Qualified buyers are eligible to receive 1.9% financing through January 3, 2011, on Pontiac G6.
Natural gas vehicles have had a mixed history in the U.S. for automakers, but GM is betting on CNG and LPG versions of 2011 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans. GM listened to fleet customers and dealers about offering options to meet their business objectives, and found NGVs to have more options short term than electric vehicles for this market segment.
