Will Tata Make Cheapest EV to Join Up with Nano?

Tata Motors, makers of the world’s cheapest new car, the Nano, is developing an electric car that it aims to sell below $20,000. Details are yet to be released, but it could be at least the size of Tata Motors’ own Indica EV– a car already under development — rather than the tiny Nano.

 

Mileage Equivalent not Great for Model S, but Range is Strong

Tesla Motors received a modest miles per gallon estimate from EPA for its new Model S sedan – 89 MPGe, but the battery pack is longer range than anything else on the market. The feds think it will go 265 miles per charge on its largest, 85 kWh battery pack.
