ZETI is accelerating the transition to cleaner transportation by creating a transparent marketplace where lenders can better assess risk and offer fleets affordable rates of investment.
To better understand ZETI’s role as a conduit between fleets and lenders, we spoke with Jon Stafford, Senior Vice President of North American Sales at ZETI.
"At ZETI, our goal is to digitally transform automotive finance while accelerating the adoption of cleaner transportation. We aggregate data and leverage innovative technology to help fleets secure flexible and competitive financing while unlocking new or existing pools of capital."
If you’re thinking about buying an electric car or a plug-in hybrid, you should be aware that the Trump administration is considering eliminating a federal EV tax credit of up to $7,500. It’s a change that could make new and used EVs and PHEVs more expensive for consumers. Although recent executive orders have targeted federal spending on EVs, nothing has changed so far from a consumer standpoint.
“It will likely take some time for policymakers to repeal or limit these incentives,” says Alexandra Grose, senior policy counsel at Consumer Reports. “But if you’re looking to buy an EV and save thousands of dollars by using tax credits, it’s better to buy sooner rather than later.”

This week, we are pleased to feature Bishop’s forward look at what we can likely expect in 2025. He writes, “As it is, look for the roller coaster ride to continue for a few months as the new administration sets policy and the market reacts."

Distracted driving and hazardous weather conditions are a very bad combination, but there are ways that your fleet can minimize the dangers.
The Biden administration has left the building, but not before allocating a whopping $635 million to flesh out EV charging infrastructure throughout the nation. While the Trump administration seems set on pumping the brakes on EV adoption, the charging infrastructure itself is already at the point of no return. With or without the funds, electrification seems to be the future of on-the-road mobility.
Once funds are allotted, reclaiming them can be a difficult process, as the power of the purse is held by Congress, not the Executive Office. While President Trump has put a freeze on the funds via Executive Order, whether he can actually retract the Biden administration’s allocation is questionable.
