Global fleet management company recognized for leading the UK fleet industry in rental solutions
ARI received the Innovation in Daily Rentals award during the 2016 Fleet World Honours held at the Royal Automobile Club in London on April 19, 2016. The Fleet World Honours recognizes fleet suppliers in the UK market that identify potential savings and add value to provide a solution for the diverse needs of its customers.
The editors of Fleet World highlighted ARI’s holistic approach to rentals as the key to the innovation behind its comprehensive program.
NAFA Fleet Management Association is pleased to announce its next accredited fleet via NAFA’s Sustainable Fleet Accreditation Program is the fleet of the Eugene Water & Electric Board serving Eugene, Oregon.
They join Dakota County; Minnesota Department of Transportation; the City of Anaheim, CA; the County of Ventura, CA; Kent Fire Department RFA, of Kent, WA; the City of Austin, TX; and the University of California-Davis; all accomplished, recently accredited fleets.
These fleets have successfully demonstrated that a credible sustainability plan is in place, and real, meaningful progress is being made toward reducing their total emissions and the negative environmental impact made by extraneous carbon fuel usage.
Mike Sheldrick and I have spent the past few weeks in the UK and on May 11th had the pleasure of attending our first Fleet World Fleet Show at the Silverstone Circuit.
It would have been fun to have driven a new fleet car on the famed track, but it was exciting just to see it (impressive), check out the exhibits, learn a bit about what’s new with UK fleets, and network. It was an excellent day and we thank the Fleet World team for their kind hospitality.
Mark your calendar for what promises to be one of the best networking venues in our business this fall: AFLA 2016 Annual Conference -- Mission:Possible! (Love the theme!) Save some money and register by June 10th!

Teachers often say that students thrive in classrooms with clear rules and expectations and a new study shows that concept translates to the road when teenage drivers get their license.
Parents who lay out clear guidelines and parameters and then model those behaviors develop the safest drivers.
A research study from Safe Kids Worldwide and the General Motors Foundation reveals that teens who are given rules about what they can do when driving are less likely to engage in risky behaviors behind the wheel.
Fatal crashes involving drivers who recently used marijuana doubled in Washington after the state legalized the drug, according to the latest research by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety.
New research also shows that legal limits for marijuana and driving are arbitrary and unsupported by science, which could result in unsafe motorists going free and others being wrongfully convicted for impaired driving.
Washington was one of the first two states to legalize the recreational use of marijuana, and these findings raise serious concerns about drug-impaired driving with at least 20 states considering marijuana legalization this year.
