FMCSA Proposes New Medical Rules
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration plans to propose a rule in 2006 to electronically link truck drivers' medical certificates to state-issued Commercial Drivers' Licenses. The agency also plans to establish a national registry of certified medical examiners by 2009.
