Resurrecting Ford’s Taurus
Ford decided to re-name its Five Hundred sedan, lagging in sales, the Taurus for 2008, resurrecting a nameplate that enjoyed popularity for a very long time. Similarly, its variant crossover Freestyle wasn't selling so well, so now it's called a Taurus X. Even salespeople are having trouble remembering what to call the latest models on showroom floors!
