Law enforcement agencies have used GPS tracking devices secretly placed on vehicles to track suspects. The absence of federal law on whether or not this constitutes a "search" and therefore requires a warrant has left the decision to state courts who have ruled differently.
GM has announced that 42% of its Canadian dealers will be disenfranchised in October 2010 when their agreements expire. The restructuring should produce stronger urban dealers. Disenfranchised dealers may continue as used-vehicle sales operations. Others will fold.
Government grants which can no longer be applied for will be awarded to help fleets pay for hybrid trucks and diesel emission reduction equipment for existing vehicles. The Energy Policy Act of 2005 included programs that can benefit fleets.

Four 2010 Ford models will be the first to be offered with a high-performance, fuel-efficient Ecoboost V6 engine with twin turbochargers and direct injection. Ford intends to offer the Ecoboost in 90% of vehicles and six-speed transmissions in all of them by 2013.
