Carfax has reported that more than 2.7 million used cars for sale online had safety recalls that were never fixed. Consumers are encouraged to check Carfax for a free check on open recalls along with vehicle history reports from automakers.
Recent volatility in gasoline prices haven't affected used car values all that much, Black Book's Ricky Beggs said in his weekly market report.
