GM will offer financing from 3.9% down to 1.9% on select certified used vehicles through June 30. Qualified buyers are eligible to receive 1.9% financing through January 3, 2011, on Pontiac G6.
Natural gas vehicles have had a mixed history in the U.S. for automakers, but GM is betting on CNG and LPG versions of 2011 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans. GM listened to fleet customers and dealers about offering options to meet their business objectives, and found NGVs to have more options short term than electric vehicles for this market segment.

As Ford moves to wind down the Mercury brand, dealers and Mercury owners are concerned about the effect on residual values. Analysts are comparing this wind down to that of Plymouth a decade ago. In the case of Plymouth, there was no significant drop off in used car values. Consumers did not perceive that there was a premium factored into the brand. Apparently the same holds true for Mercury, confirming Ford's decision.
