UPS Deploying 100 Electric Commercial Vehicles with State of California

UPS has deployed 100 electric commercial vehicles that will be delivering packages around the state of California. This will help implement Governor Jerry Brown’s Executive Order to widespread deployment of zero emission vehicles throughout California. “These all-electric vehicles remind us that California continues to be a dynamic center of innovation,” said Governor Brown. “These trucks were built here, they’ll be driven here and they’re already changing the way business is done here – cutting emissions and eliminating the need for tanker trucks worth of fossil fuels.” These UPS electric trucks will reduce the consumption of conventional motor fuel by approximately 126,000 gallons per year.....

Fleet Sales Manager Describes Charger and EV Dealer Program

AeroVironment made a major announcement at the National Automobile Dealers Association convention – the electric vehicle charging station maker is now offering a dealer program where new car buyers can purchase a Level 2 240-volt residential charging station. Those buying a battery electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid have the option of financing the charger in combination with the vehicle at the time of sale. Dealers can now offer a one-stop shop experience for EV drivers.
