Manheim Used Vehicle Value Index – January 2013

Manheim Used Vehicle Value Index decreased to 123.4 – down 0.6% from December and 1.8% from January 2012
Values were expected to retreat somewhat in January given hurricane’s impact on market would be waning and that auction supplies from commercial consignors would be rising
Continued strength in retail market, however, kept the decline in wholesale prices modest, for now

Manheim Index Drops 1.8% from Year Ago

Tom Webb Chief Economist Manheim Consulting Wholesale used vehicle prices fell 0.6% in January. Absent seasonal adjustment, decline in vehicle values was half that amount.
