Ford has begun to move forward with a plan to add a 4-cylinder engine plant in Ohio. Manufacturing the engines in Brook Park, Ohio is projected to bring 750 jobs to the area. This move is part of Ford Motor Co.’s efforts to combat the trend of outsourcing manufacturing.
BMW is conducting a voluntary safety recall involving nearly 505,000 vehicles in the Unites States over concerns that a battery connector cable can fail and cause engines to stall. NHTSA has listed 504,545 vehicles as being potentially affected. Media outlets are reporting another 65,000 vehicles in Canada are also affected by the recall.
