Wheels, Inc. has won a Silver American Business Award (aka a “Stevie”) in the Support Team of the Year category. The award recognizes the contributions the Wheels Client Analytics team has made in refining its data interpretation processes to better communicate fleet performance statistics to each Wheels client.
“Our customers – both internal and external – are enjoying unprecedented levels of efficiency in receiving the reports they need to accurately quantify fleet performance and drive optimal fleet decisions,” said Bob Black, Director of Client Analytics at Wheels. “The Client Analytics team has been a big contributor to that success, and we are honored that our efforts have been recognized by the American Business Awards.”
The Wheels Client Analytics department features a staff of data analysts and researchers that interprets key reporting metrics for each customer’s fleet to quantify its performance against industry benchmarks, established goals and previous results. This year, the Client Analytics team underwent a sweeping staff realignment that was aimed at fostering a more synergistic relationship between the group and Wheels’ customer-facing Account Managers. By focusing on direct collaboration between the two teams, Wheels created a process that streamlines the way each client’s fleet data is generated, analyzed and communicated.
“Client Analytics has implemented a dynamic new tracking arrangement through which Account Managers make data requests and work directly with our analysts to determine the desired deliverables and timeframe,” Black said, adding that the realignment has helped streamline a number of existing data analytics processes at Wheels while also paving the way for a host of new applications. Among these is a new Vehicle Replacement Analysis tool that uses current automotive resale market performance data to help the company accurately forecast replacement economics and optimize vehicle lifecycle schedules for its clients.
The American Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards, featuring entrants from across the U.S. in all types of businesses – large and small, public and private, for-profit and non-profit. More than 3,300 nominations from organizations in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, and winners were selected by more than 240 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process.
“It’s an honor for us to recognize and celebrate such an outstanding class of organizations and individuals,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “The judges were especially discerning this year. All of this year’s Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie winners should be proud that the judges recognized their achievements and their ability to express those achievements in a way that captured the judges’ hearts and imaginations.”
The Support Team of the Year Stevie award was among those issued during a ceremony on June 13 in Chicago. A second Stevie awards gala will take place September 12 in San Francisco. Wheels is a finalist in two of the categories that will be recognized during that event.
