Telogis Connects and Optimizes the Mobile Workplace with the Launch of Telogis Logbook

Simple swipes of the app, track and organize miles driven for personal or business use.

With more than 55 million commercial vehicles on the road in Europe and North America alone*, delivering work-related apps that enable employees in the field to be more efficient has become mission-critical.

The new Telogis Logbook app increases the productivity of mobile workforces by electronically logging – with a quick swipe on the screen – whether miles they have driven were business- oriented or personal. Telogis Logbook has been optimized for iOS devices including iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch and will be available this week in the App Store.

Demonstrations and more information about Telogis Logbook are available at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona today(Feb 23) through Thursday (Feb 25) on the Telogis area of the VMware/AirWatch stand – Hall 3, Stand 3K10.

Telogis Logbook is an extension of the Telogis Mobile Enterprise Management (MEM) software platform, and was developed specifically for commercial drivers, mobile sales representatives and supervisors who drive a vehicle for both personal and business use.

Built from the ground- up and optimized to take advantage of iOS advanced security features like Touch ID, Logbook simplifies authentication, tracking and mileage designation while meeting stringent tax regulations in specific EU countries including the UK.

Logbook empowers drivers and field reps to view their recorded miles and classify their completed trips by swiping one way or the other on their mobile devices. Full integration with vehicle telematics ensures the most accurate and complete mileage records so organizations can confidently claim tax deductions and gain more insight into their professional fleets. Through the platform, supervisors can identify classified miles, assign unclassified trips to individual drivers and generate personal-versus-business mileage summaries within detailed reports.

“Apps for work should be as intuitive, well-designed and easy to use as consumer apps, as well as delivering all of the functionality people need in the field to maximize productivity, efficiency and safety,” said Sergio Barata, general manager, EMEA at Telogis. “With Telogis Logbook, companies will get reliable tax information and their staff in turn will get an easy, accurate way to track their miles for personal and business use.”
