Center for Transportation Safety Added to Driving Dynamics Portfolio, Vinciguerra Named COO

Driving Dynamics Inc. a provider of advanced performance driver safety training for fleet-based organizations throughout North America today announced a strategic alliance agreement with Element Fleet Management. Under the agreement, Driving Dynamics now operates the Center for Transportation Safety (CTS) LLC. As a Driving Dynamics subsidiary, CTS provides safety training for drivers of all classes of vehicles to reduce organizational risk and educational training to qualify drivers for their Commercial Drivers Licenses.

“We are thrilled to welcome CTS into Driving Dynamics. It was a natural fit and represents an exciting step forward for our business. The move illustrates our confidence in the future of the fleet safety industry and provides us with the added scale to accelerate our plans for expansion.” said Art Liggio, Driving Dynamics’ president and CEO.

CTS, formerly headquartered in Denver, Colo., will operate as an independent brand of Driving Dynamics. Its light-duty training will be added to Driving Dynamics’ already comprehensive portfolio of services. And now, through CTS, Driving Dynamics’ capabilities have expanded into commercial and heavy-duty training.

Under the strategic alliance, Driving Dynamics continues to offer Element customers uninterrupted access to CTS training. In addition, through its alliance with Driving Dynamics, Element can offer its customers a broader set of behind-the-wheel training programs that includes access to twice the number of training locations.

“Driver safety is a key pillar of Element’s fleet management offering, and we are innovating in safety with our in-house team and our partners to deliver advanced services to our customers,” said Michele Cunningham, senior vice president, Products & Services at Element Fleet Management, North America. “Driving Dynamics is singularly focused on the fleet safety market and a leader in behind-the-wheel training. With the CTS business under the Driving Dynamics banner, our customers can access a more robust behind-the-wheel driver training to meet a wide range of needs.”

With this move, Tony Vinciguerra, with more than three decades of industry expertise, has joined Driving Dynamics’ executive leadership team and been named as its new chief operating officer (COO). In his recent role, he was responsible for the accident, risk and safety functions at Element Fleet Management, and was general manager for Center for Transportation Safety for the past seven years. Vinciguerra began his career at PHH in 1992 and in 2008 was named V.P. of innovation and product management. He has also held IT positions with Coopers & Lybrand and Westinghouse Corporation. Vinciguerra earned a master’s degree from Loyola College in Maryland and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and computer science from Albright College. He resides in Bel Air, Maryland with his wife, Linda.
