Wheels, Inc. is pleased to announce Canfield Equipment as the recipient of its 2017 Up-fit Supplier of the Year Award for performance excellence, exemplary service and innovation.

Wheels presented the award to Canfield’s executive team: Larry Gibson, President and Chief Executive Officer; Nate Gibson, Vice President of Sales, and Dave Decker,  Director of Strategic Planning, on November 10 at  the Wheels headquarters in Des Plaines, IL.

This is the second year that Wheels has recognized an Up-fit Supplier of the Year. Through their Preferred Supplier Program, Wheels has built solid relationships with a select group of strategic partners that create long-term value for its clients. As part of their supply chain management protocol, Wheels monitors suppliers’ monthly performance in key metrics, including on-time completion, defects per truck, quote turn times, and cycle time. The Supplier of the Year distinction rewards the up-fitter who achieved best annual performance overall.

“Canfield has continuously operated at a high level of excellence throughout 2017, and it is our privilege to commemorate their success with the Wheels Up-Fit Supplier of the Year Award,” said Joe Brightwell, Supply Chain, Quality and Operational Excellence Manager. “Not only did Canfield provide outstanding performance across every category, but they are also a great partner and highly engaged in strategic initiatives to help Wheels meet our client needs, including our Roadmap to Supplier Success and Operating Cost Reduction programs.”

During a reception following the awards ceremony, Wheels presented Canfield with a banner signed by members of their truck engineering team. “We appreciate this recognition and our longstanding partnership with Wheels. It takes both parties to achieve success, and without support from the Wheels truck engineering department this level of achievement wouldn’t be possible,” said Decker.
