Paving the Road to Future Fleet Success

By Samir Mehta, Chief Product Officer, Wrench

Finding efficient processes for getting your fleet’s vehicles repaired and maintained with minimal downtime can be challenging as a fleet manager. And now, because of the chip shortage and other manufacturing issues, there is a significant decrease in the production of new vehicles. With new vehicles harder to find, many fleet managers are turning to used vehicles. But buying used vehicles comes with new concerns about purchasing a lemon.

Wrench Inspections

Wrench offers comprehensive inspection services to fleet managers with over 3,500 qualified and experienced inspectors nationwide, available 7-days a week. Wrench inspectors perform a 160-point inspection covering the exterior, interior, mechanical, tire, road test, and then generate a detailed report identifying areas of concern conducted by a Wrench ASE-certified technician.

Introducing used vehicles into your fleet can also mean more auto repair and maintenance services. It’s no secret that the more miles and years your vehicle has, the more likely it will need more costly auto repair services. But with the proper maintenance schedule and auto repair partner, you can keep your fleet on the road with minimal expenses.

Many traditional auto repair providers do not invest in technology, prepare for future expansion needs, and going green. The lack of proactive data analysis makes it difficult to manage the total cost of vehicle ownership (TCVO), leaving managers in the dark about individual vehicle performance. They may be able to service your fleet’s vehicles but are reactive. As a result, most partnerships are inefficient, do not support E2E lifecycle, data analysis, and comprehensive reporting, costing your fleet higher downtime and more money. So finding the right auto repair partner with a sound technology platform, mobile solution, and process automation required to support both the top and the bottom line is more critical than ever.

Wrench Predictive and Preventative Repair and Maintenance

Wrench has ASE-certified, full-time mobile technicians in over 31 markets in the US, expanding to 50 major markets by the end of 2021. Wrench has invested heavily in automation and technology platforms. For example, Wrench’s auto-diagnostic engine uses over four billion data points to reduce its time to diagnose a problem. It analyzes a variety of data mined from hundreds of thousands of performed maintenance and repairs – parts failure symptoms, driving conditions, and telematics data. Its conversational Artificial Intelligence engine identifies services to be performed, prices them instantly, and packages them for consumption for a wide range of audiences. The platform can also determine parts required and auto-order them, auto-schedule technicians to visit fleet locations, supporting night shifts where needed, reducing cost for a fleet, and increasing vehicle uptime. In addition, Wrench has successfully integrated with major FMCs to streamline processes for the fleets.

Mobile App For Drivers

At the end of June, Wrench will launch a first-of-its-kind mobile app for fleet drivers. The release of our new driver-centric app is highly anticipated and will be a game-changer for fleets. This unique piece of technology will reduce your fleet’s downtime, effectively saving thousands of dollars. In addition, the app requires the drivers to check in daily by reporting the vehicle’s mileage and potential issues, allowing them to keep track of the vehicle’s health. If problems arise, drivers can quickly request a service or roadside assistance with the click of a button. The app will locate the driver instantly and send their exact location without any guesswork. The app gives drivers more control and flexibility to order services needed, review vehicle health, and significantly increase the fleet’s uptime.

Let Wrench lay the foundation for efficient inspection and auto repair services with our technological advances. By developing a platform to reduce downtime and provide quicker services, we will pave the road to success for fleets.

Partnering with Wrench will save you money and time. Not to mention, prepare you for future success!
