TRUCE® Software announced the closing of its Series B funding round. The investment accelerates growth of its AI-driven video telematics and mobile workforce training platform for service industry vehicle fleets and drivers.
By running on standard iOS and Android smartphones, the platform limits the need for costly specialized in-vehicle hardware while providing real-time video capture, telematics analysis, and AI-powered coaching.
This approach makes advanced video telematics practical for a broad range of light-duty fleets, which account for more than 70% of U.S. commercial vehicles.

Fleetio, a leading fleet maintenance and optimization platform, published the 2026 Fleet Benchmark Report & State of Fleet Management.
While 53.3% of respondents said they were researching or piloting AI capabilities, only 5.6% are using AI broadly today. Half of all respondents cited accuracy/reliability issues as their main hesitation to adopt AI. This was one of the many pertinent key findings.
Fleetio will host a webinar panel with survey respondents on March 5, 2026, to break down additional findings and outline practical steps fleets can take to strengthen operations using this data.

As fleets prepare for a complex year ahead, one trend is rising above all others: the shift from traditional, reactive safety programs toward algorithmic-powered prediction, proactive safety, and individualized behavior shaping.
With crash costs still rising, weather-related volatility increasing, and road environments becoming more complex, fleet managers are under pressure to adopt tools that identify risk before an incident occurs — not after.
In 2026, the most successful fleets won’t simply monitor driver behavior. They’ll anticipate it. And that transition is being accelerated by platforms like Mentor by eDriving.
Mentor by eDriving leverages smartphone-based telematics together with the industry-standard FICO® Safe Driving Score to turn raw data into meaningful, proactive safety insights.

In a 6–3 ruling, the Court held that former President Donald Trump lacked authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose sweeping tariffs under emergency powers.
At the same time, tariff risk has not gone away. Following the Supreme Court decision, President Trump signed a separate order imposing a 15% global tariff on imports from all countries under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974.
Unlike IEEPA-based actions, Section 122 specifically authorizes temporary, broad-based tariffs tied to trade-deficit or balance-of-payments concerns.
For fleet managers, that means shifting from crisis response to scenario-based planning. Building flexibility into procurement, replacement cycles, and budgets will be essential.

People, Relationships, Fleet & Remarketing

By Steve Bender, President and Owner, Fleet Street Remarketing
As I sat with our marketing team, I found myself asking the same question over and over. What is it that really sets Fleet apart from other industries? And every time I thought about it, I kept coming back to the same answer. People.
People like the longtime fleet industry veterans who peaked my curiosity that started my journey in this industry. And the people who fostered and fed my interest in buying a growing business in this space.
And, for sure, my wonderful fleet industry colleagues who organized, prayed, and brought my family through undoubtedly the darkest time of our lives while reigniting my passion and our team’s dedication to making 2026 the best year ever.
People and relationships. The ideals that move business – and business relationships – forward. In fact, our team spent a considerable amount of time developing a mantra based on that – a theme if you will – that will carry us through 2026.
