NAFA Fleet Management Association Announces Its Class Of 2015/2016 CAFS® Graduates

NAFA Fleet Management Association is proud to announce its Class Of 2015/2016 Certified Automotive Fleet Specialist (CAFS®) graduates. The CAFS® designation identifies excellence in fleet knowledge, and is the first step to attainment of Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM®) status.

“The NAFA CAFS® program proves an individual’s expertise in four of the eight disciplines of fleet,” said NAFA Chief Executive Officer Phillip E. Russo, CAE. “Other certification programs may attest that a person has minimum basic knowledge of fleet, but CAFS® proves the person is an expert in the four disciplines of their choice, and positions them to achieve full CAFM® status upon completion of the remaining disciplines.”

The 2015/2016 CAFS® graduates are:

Jeff Bond, CAFS®, Equipment Services Manager, Collin County
Mario Gionet, CAFS®, Fleet Manager, CBC/Radio Canada
Michael Kirk, CAFS®, Fleet Management Solutions Specialist, Element Fleet Management
Justin Lee, CAFS®, Auto Serviceman, City of Calgary
Carlene McTague, CAFS®, Strategic Account Manager, ARI
Erenio Sanchez, CAFS®, Fleet Equipment Specialist, City of Tucson
Stephen Sordillo, CAFS®, Senior Product Line Consultant, AIG

To become certified, participants must pass a series of comprehensive examinations to demonstrate expertise in four of the eight disciplines of automotive fleet management: Fleet Information Management, Maintenance Management, Vehicle Fuel Management, Asset Management, Business Management, Financial Management, Risk Management, andProfessional Development. Many employers now require fleet managers to obtain the CAFM® designation prior to, or shortly after, employment. CAFS® demonstrates the commitment these fleet professionals bring to their study and their determination to further their fleet knowledge and pursue their CAFM®.
