Telogis’ Kevin Moore to Keynote at NAFA’s International Fleet Academy

There are many aspects of global fleet management that can be daunting for the fleet professional. Perhaps the most difficult is also the most tangible: on an average day, the fleet manager could be thousands of miles away from the vehicles they oversee. Technology is bridging the gap. Opening NAFA’s International Fleet Academy (IFA), keynote speaker Kevin Moore, Vice President Automotive OEM Sales, Telogis, Inc. will discuss how telematics are changing the landscape for fleet.

Headquartered in the U.S. and with offices in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, England, Australia and New Zealand, telematics provider Telogis delivers information for companies with global mobile workforces. Moore will detail how cloud-based location intelligence software platforms will have a transformative effect on the way that global businesses optimize their mobile assets and critical data, and will share his insights relating to innovation in developing actionable information for fleet tools including dashboards, managing trends for fuels, safety, driver behavior, and vehicle usage, disaster relief strategies, and more.

“The impact that technology has on every aspect of vehicles, from running them to finding out where they are at any time, is unprecedented,” said NAFA Chief Executive Officer Phillip E. Russo, CAE. “Knowing what is available to a global fleet manager is incredibly useful. This keynote address will give attendees a great deal of clarity on what tech they can leverage now, wherever their fleets are based.”

The fourth annual International Fleet Academy will take place November 5-7 at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida. This 3-day conference was designed specifically to meet the needs of those who manage fleets outside of the United States and Canada. the IFA also offers global fleet managers an opportunity to engage each other on a peer-to-peer level. Attendees can share information with colleagues in an intimate setting arranged by NAFA, the most trusted name in fleet.

NAFA’s International Fleet Academy helps attendees build the specialized skills needed for the expanding and changing fleet environment across diverse world markets. They will leave with a standard of excellence for their dealings within and outside their organization, with customers, suppliers, and drivers among others. The conference is a “must” for companies and organizations with global fleets, as well as corporate global fleet managers; corporate fleet directors; procurement specialists; corporate executives with reporting responsibility for their organization’s fleet operations; fleet personnel who assist fleet managers and directors in their global fleet operations; and fleet managers, directors, and executives who want to learn more about multi-national fleet operations.

“Global fleet managers have specific needs in order to do their work at the highest levels, and the answers are out there for them,” said Russo. “What NAFA’s International Fleet Academy does is connect them to the resources that they are looking for. That kind of information can help a fleet professional span a thousand miles as it would a dozen miles, and that is an incalculable value.”

For a limited time, attendees who register before September 30 can take advantage of early-bird pricing. More information is available at: www.nafafleetacademy.org
