FLD Helps You Remarket in Real Time

FLD upgrades popular WebAccess solution to help fleet professionals take control of the remarketing process

By Richard Mallek, Director of Business Development

September 2020

Imagine a time when business is being challenged like never before. A time when people are clamoring for innovative new ways to work from anywhere, any time and on any device. And, a time when just about everyone is trying to leverage the internet to find new ways to do more with less.

Sound like the current business landscape during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Perhaps – but in this case, I’m talking about 1997. It’s not long after the dawn of the internet, a time of rapid change and unprecedented challenges. And, much like today’s post-pandemic world, a time when businesses – even those in the fleet world – could see that digital solutions were the wave of the future.

As a firmly entrenched leader approaching our 20th anniversary in 1997, the importance of mastering the digital world was not lost on the team at FLD – especially when it came to finding new ways to help clients use the internet to do more, faster, and from any place they had a connection. In fact, we already had a forward-thinking IT department whose supervisor, Santiago Ramirez, is still leading the group today.

Realizing that most of our customers were entrenched in decades-long work habits, one of the first things the FLD team focused on was speeding up the process of reporting a vehicle’s condition when it was ready to be sold. Instead of manually filling out the report, taking and attaching photographs, and “snail” mailing the report, FLD created an online version that could be filed in less than an hour.

Calling it WebAccess, the solution became an instant sensation – and the first of its kind – for the fleet industry.

Over the years, WebAccess has been upgraded to include a variety of vital functions, but we are confident this newest upgrade – released to coincide with the AFLA conference in mid-October – is the most comprehensive yet.

Completely optimized, the new WebAccess lets fleet professionals conduct the entire remarketing process from the safety and comfort of any smartphone, tablet or computer screen. That includes everything from detailing a vehicle’s condition, to receiving and accepting a quote, to telling FLD where to send the money, something we do within a day or two of your accepting an offer.

The newly-upgraded solution is exactly what busy fleet professionals need to execute the entire remarketing process on their own terms, whenever – and wherever – it is convenient for them.

Best of all, FLD’s WebAccess lets fleet managers see what they’re remarketing in real time – far better than the static condition reports provided by most remarketers. And with WebAccess, fleet professionals get the up-to-the-minute information they need all on one screen, reducing their remarketing risk, while saving time and resources, avoiding hassles, and improving total cost of ownership.

FLD originally released an updated version of WebAccess in February, before the pandemic gripped the world. Since then – with all of its IT department working remotely – the team has been able to “double down” on its efforts to improve the solution, including optimizing the solution’s speed and efficiency, and packing it with user-friendly features like enhanced reporting, KPI metric boards, and a sleek new user interface that’s easy to navigate and essentially aggravation-free.

Perhaps the upgraded solution’s best feature?

According to Rich Mallek, Director of Business Development, it’s “peace of mind.” And, the ability to “confidently” manage the remarketing process at a time when no one’s quite sure what’s coming next.”

“We knew very early on that fleet professionals would need digital solutions that let them take control” said Mallek. “Not only have we achieved that with WebAccess, but we’ve effectively allowed them to conduct the entire remarketing process on their own terms by giving them all of the info they need in real-time and we think that’s powerful.”

FLD’s WebAccess solution is the cornerstone of our in-house suite of online remarketing tools, which also includes AssessFLD – which lets anyone compile an online condition report in less than 5 minutes, and AssistFLD, which makes tracking any fleet quick and easy. All three can be downloaded at either Google or ApplePlay.

For more information on FLD’s upgraded WebAccess solution – or for a demonstration – call Rich Mallek, Director of Business Development, at 561-266-8512, or log on to www.fldinc.com, and send us a note. We’ll be happy to show you how you can take control of the vehicle remarketing process on your own terms, confidently, easily and completely.
