Element Fleet Management Gathers Industry Influencers to Discuss Trends, Opportunities at Annual Roundtable

Forum Featured Engaging Workshops, Technology Demonstrations, Keynote Presentations, Roundtable Discussions and More Under Theme “Powered by People”

Element Fleet Management’s annual forum, Fleet Roundtable, held in National Harbor, Maryland last week brought hundreds of fleet company executives and supplier partners, automotive manufacturers and Element experts together to learn, network, and discuss challenges and opportunities impacting fleet management now and in the future.

This year’s theme, “Powered by People,” focused on the influence of personnel – from fleet management and maintenance professionals to strategic consultants – on the fleet industry. In addition to workshops and discussions, Element expanded on the theme by highlighting video stories of the people behind fleet management services.

“Fleet management has never been more global and more driven by technology, and our industry is impacted by worldwide trends and events. But through every period of change, people are the constant. That’s why ‘Powered by People’ was the theme of this year’s Roundtable,” said Kristi Webb, president and CEO of Element Fleet Management, North America. “For our 20th annual Fleet Roundtable, we were proud to host an impactful, innovative event that gives the industry a voice, growth opportunities and a hand in building the future of fleet, together.”

With connected technologies and data impacting fleet management practices, the event featured more than 15 workshops focused on macro trends and fleet insights. Each 30-minute workshop covered a specific topic, including tech trends, the economy, driver engagement strategies and more.

Special workshops and exhibitions provided hands-on opportunities to learn how Element’s next-generation fleet management system, Xcelerate, and other technologies improve fleet management practices across the supply chain.

The event also offered presentations from guest speakers including:

  • Ken Schmidt, a former director of communications strategy at Harley-Davidson Motor Company, who encouraged attendees to build a fanatically vocal customer base, create a passionately loyal corporate culture, and develop leaders who inspire and motivate
  • Dr. Lior Zoref, a researcher, advisor, TED speaker and bestselling author, who addressed the art of crowdsourcing and the power of collective intelligence
