Element-Arval Global Alliance: Leveraging Scale, Expert Advice and Digital Tools

By Jay Atcheson, Vice President of Marketing

Organizations with a global footprint rely on a partner with the reach, resources and experience to support their objectives, deliver results and manage their global fleet policies at both local and regional levels.

As the longest standing strategic alliance in the fleet management industry, the Element-Arval Global Alliance is the worldwide leader in fleet management. For more than 20 years, Element Fleet Management and Arval have worked together to meet both the local and global customer needs in 50 countries.

“Implementing a global fleet management program can be complex and time-consuming, but with the right process and partners in place, it can produce tangible results,” says Jim Halliday, President and CEO, Element Fleet Management International. “Global fleet management programs benefit fleet managers as they strive to design and implement unique solutions and manage assets across multiple countries. A single dedicated global account team with localized support works to harmonize fleet policies, and lower total cost of ownership while proprietary digital tools provide fleet performance visibility and optimization across all geographies.”

The latest tool in global fleet management

The Element-Arval Global Alliance now offers an additional tool to optimize your fleet.  With the launch of this exclusive tool, a unique reporting platform that offers a consolidated view of strategic fleet key performance indicators, global fleet managers gain access to a customizable 360-degree view of their fleet.

The tool considers all important aspects of fleet based on:

  1. Fleet – active vehicles, deliveries, returns and planned returns
  2. Spend – total, in, out and end of contracts spends
  3. Usage – contractual terms evolution, fleet and contract deviations
  4. Corporate Social Responsibility – CO2 emissions and carbon footprint

The platform uses leasing data from multiple fleet management providers to help organizations and fleet managers make strategic decisions that benefit their global fleets. It is designed to support vehicle policy decisions at an international level.

User-friendly and intuitive

The tool’s easy-to-use reports help organizations using multiple fleet management suppliers consolidate vehicles managed by multiple leasing providers. The tool uses a data integrator outside Element-Arval to collect and store fleet data from leasing providers outside the alliance.

Companies working in a multi-supply mode are overloaded with low value work, but this tool’s mission is to free fleet management staff and add value back in. Accurate fleet analysis helps them make the right decisions.

Standard and secure

With all the necessary requirements by law and competition, all data and information in the tool is safe and secure. Hosted by an independent IT service provider, users can request that their fleet data be directly uploaded by their leasing provider. Neither Arval, Element or other lessors have access to this proprietary data or the user’s consolidated view.

Currently, Arval is counting on leasing providers’ best efforts to produce and upload data. However, the Alliance has a standardized set of data, pulled from various reporting tools in the market to ensure customers get what they need to make smart fleet decisions.

The Element-Arval Global Alliance leverages global scale, expert advice, digital tools and global reporting to deliver results. Arval’s global fleet management platform is available to customers across the Element-Arval Global Alliance. For more information, visit ElementArval.com.
