Wheels Attains SOC2® Type 2

Des Plaines, Ill. April 15, 2021 — Wheels Inc, a leader in the automotive fleet management industry, has successfully completed a SOC 2 Type 2 examination, conducted by leading attestation and compliance auditing firm Schellman & Company, LLC.

System and Organization Controls (SOC) is a globally recognized audit of information systems designed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). To be deemed compliant, organizations must follow strict adherence to best practice security policies and procedures. The SOC 2 Type 2 designation refers to the completion of randomized testing of client-facing systems to verify security procedures and controls are followed. Wheels’ examination affirmed it has implemented sufficient safeguards to protect clients’ information.

“Information security has always been a prime focus at Wheels,” said Tim O’Hara, chief information officer at Wheels. “Yet as advancing technologies create additional opportunities for clients to entrust us with sensitive data, it’s increasingly important to regularly test our security protocols to reduce the chance of a security incident while ensuring our systems are available to support our clients. Providing a SOC 2 Type 2 independent attestation report from a highly respected firm is just the latest step in our mission to deliver continuous client satisfaction and earn their trust every day.”

“As a fleet management provider, we are the custodians of driver and other sensitive client data. When they hire us, they expect us to keep it secure,” said Laura Jozwiak, senior vice president of sales and client relations at Wheels. “The SOC 2 report demonstrates our ability to prevent, detect and respond to threats that come to our organization from a security or IT perspective.”

Wheels will undergo SOC 2 examinations on an annual basis. The SOC 2 report is available to current and prospective clients, upon request. If you’re interested in viewing Wheels’ SOC 2 report, please contact your Fleet Consulting Manager, Account Team or contact [email protected].®
