There are many avenues of learning in our industry. NAFA pioneered formal fleet education with its gold standard CAFM/CAFS Certification programs. Conferences, webinars, seminars, white papers and case studies offered by fleet industry associations and suppliers are abundant.
Mercury Associates’ Adlore Chaudier has this to say in his comprehensive piece The Importance of Continuous Education for Fleet Personnel: “Fleet management increasingly requires a 360-degree communication and education outreach effort, embracing not only supervisors and management as well as technicians and specialists, but also customers and vendors as well as drivers and operators.”
Ben Langley of Driving Dynamics looks at another aspect of education in Training and Coaching: Each Has a Role to Play in Maintaining a Safe Fleet. Langley says, “Understanding the distinction will positively impact the effectiveness of your driver safety program.”
Advancing our industry through research, education, partnerships and scholarships is the mission of the NAFA Foundation. Please consider sharing your love of fleet this summer by supporting their good works.
