SambaSafety Partners with Cytora to Enhance Commercial Auto Insurance Underwriting in the US

Linxup Expands Partnership with Fleetio

In a significant move for the US commercial auto insurance sector, Cytora, a leading digital risk processing platform, has announced a strategic partnership with Denver-based SambaSafety, a premier driver risk management platform in the US. This collaboration aims to transform how insurers assess driver-related risks by integrating comprehensive driving data into the underwriting process.

The partnership will allow commercial insurers to access a richer dataset including real-time motor vehicle records (MVRs), traffic court data, and telematics insights directly through Cytora’s platform. By leveraging SambaSafety’s extensive database, insurers can perform more thorough evaluations of driving risks, enhancing their ability to profile and segment high-risk drivers effectively.

Strategic Benefits for US Insurers:

  • Comprehensive Risk Profiles: Insurers can now access an unprecedented level of detail about drivers’ historical and current behavior, significantly reducing the guesswork in risk assessment.
  • Enhanced Compliance and Accuracy: The integration facilitates compliance with U.S. regulations by providing accurate, up-to-date information, helping insurers meet stringent standards and avoid potential fines.
  • Streamlined Workflows: The combined capabilities of Cytora and SambaSafety simplify the underwriting process from initial submission to final quote, greatly improving operational efficiency and speed to market.

Rick Fendell, Chief Revenue Officer at SambaSafety, said: “SambaSafety’s mission to ensure safer roads and inspire confidence in every journey by providing the most holistic driver risk management solutions is expanded greatly through this partnership with Cytora. We’re pleased about the significant benefit this partnership brings to commercial and personal lines insurance carriers, among others.”

Juan de Castro, COO at Cytora, said: “At Cytora, we are committed to driving innovation in the insurance industry through digitizing and streamlining workflows. We are continuously seeking to provide the best data and analytics to our customers, and this latest integration of SambaSafety’s driver risk management technology into our platform ensures that we are delivering on that ambition.

“SambaSafety exemplifies what Cytora are looking for in a partnership, as pioneers in driver risk management with deep data insights, and we are delighted that this announcement will mean insurers are empowered with the most advanced tools for assessing and managing auto related risks.”

The integration also comes on the heels of Cytora’s recent advancements in AI, including the use of Large Language Models that further refine the accuracy of risk assessments. This ongoing innovation underscores Cytora’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions to the insurance industry.
