‘What You Need to Know About Fleet & Taxation Around the Globe’

With globalization, a fleet manager has to stay on top of the intricacies of U.S. taxation and the tax policies of every country their company runs vehicles in. It can be a complex web of fuel taxes, Value Added Taxation (VATs), as well as environmental and insurance concerns. There’s no way around it, but there is a way to get a firm grip on it.

NAFA’s International Fleet Academy (IFA) provides fleet professionals with global duties the trusted, intimate environment to discuss such subjects, as well as the information they need to take informed, proactive actions. The fourth annual IFA will take place November 5-7 at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, FL. On Thursday, November 6, Bart Vanham, Partner, BVH&C Consulting, Namur, Belgium presents ‘What You Need to Know about Fleet and Taxation around the Globe.’

“Taxes are complicated enough right here in the U.S., but if you are responsible for assets halfway around the world, you need specialized education,” said NAFA Chief Executive Officer Phillip E. Russo, CAE. “NAFA has made sure that the IFA presents the most pressing, most current topics on the minds of global fleet professionals. This session alone, ‘What You Need to Know about Fleet and Taxation around the Globe,’ makes this year’s conference essential for any global fleet manager.”

NAFA’s International Fleet Academy was designed specifically to meet the needs of those who manage fleets outside of the United States and Canada, and offers fleet professionals the tools to gain understanding, and the opportunity to discuss the problems and challenges they’re facing with some of the brightest minds in global fleet management.

NAFA’s International Fleet Academy helps attendees build the specialized skills needed for the expanding and changing fleet environment across diverse world markets. Attendees will leave with a standard of excellence for their dealings within and outside their organization, with customers, suppliers, and drivers among others. The conference is a “must” for companies and organizations with global fleets, as well as corporate global fleet managers; corporate fleet directors; procurement specialists; corporate executives with reporting responsibility for their organization’s fleet operations; fleet personnel who assist fleet managers and directors in their global fleet operations; and fleet managers, directors, and executives who want to learn more about multi-national fleet operations.

“It is critical for global fleet managers to understand key regional issues regarding taxation, as well as environmental and insurance concerns,” said Russo. “NAFA’s International Fleet Academy allows them to do that on a much wider canvas, to make good and right decisions on behalf of their companies, and that’s important.”

For a limited time, attendees who register before September 30 can take advantage of early-bird pricing.
