Ten GE Capital Fleet Services Employees Earn Fleet Management Certifications

GE Capital Fleet Services recently announced that ten of its staff members earned individual certification under NAFA’s Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) and Certified Automotive Fleet Specialist (CAFS) programs.

“Our customers are the beneficiaries of our employees’ fleet management certification,” said Ken Johnson, managing director, Strategic Consulting and Fleet Management Solutions at GE Capital Fleet Services. “These rigorous programs set a high standard of excellence, consistent with the level of fleet management expertise our customers expect from us. We are very proud of the hard work and effort these individuals put into achieving certification, which will allow them to further enhance our best-in-class service, operations and support.”

The professional fleet certification programs provide standards for quality and excellence in processes across core areas of fleet management. The GE Capital Fleet Services employees who earned certification as part of the 2013-2014 class are:

  • Jackie Armstrong, strategic customer manager (CAFS)
  • Melissa Bandel, implementation manager (CAFM)
  • Pete Barta, customer lead (CAFM)
  • Melinda Boone, senior fleet management specialist (CAFS)
  • Barbara Coldagelli, core fleet management services leader (CAFM)
  • Eric Miller, customer lead (CAFM)
  • Becky Mueller, senior fleet management specialist (CAFM)
  • Becky Serstock, web technology specialist (CAFM)
  • Mark Smith, customer experience leader (CAFM)
  • Joe Vacek, reporting analyst (CAFM)

The fleet certification programs are administered by the NAFA-led Center for Professional Fleet Certification. Successful completion of CAFM requires applicants to pass eight disciplines related to business and fleet management within a three year period. Those who earn CAFS certification choose to specialize in key fleet management disciplines. To learn more about the CAFM and CAFS programs, visit www.fleetcertification.org.
