CEI: A Great Place to Work!

The CEI Group, Inc. (CEI), a provider of accident management, driver safety and risk management services for automotive fleets, has been named one of the Philadelphia region’s “2014 Top Workplaces” by the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philly.com.

CEI ranked seventh among the 35 midsized companies cited in the news publisher’s annual competition to find the 100 best employers to work for among large, midsized and small companies in the region.  The rankings are the result of responses to an employee survey on the quality of the workplace.

“At CEI, people are our most important resource, so we’ve always focused on trying to create a place where people want to come to work and enjoy it,” said Vincent Brigidi, CEI’s president and chief operating officer. “It’s gratifying to know that our employees have confirmed that we’ve been successful in creating a fun, friendly and rewarding environment that brings out their best and helps assure the delivery of high-quality customer service.”

The survey, conducted by Workplace Dynamics of Exton, PA, asked employees about their workplace conditions, their career path, pay and benefits, and their company’s management team, direction and strategy.

The award comes on the heels of the creation of the “CEIRewards” program late last year. The program seeks a variety of innovative ways to make the company’s workplace more attractive to employees, including the creation of such perks as a complementary in-house café, the offering of a free online personal money management course, and various employee recognition programs.  Through the FISH Team, a company-sponsored employee activities committee, employees also enjoy holiday celebrations, outings to area sport events, raffles and games.

In recent years, CEI has been recognized by other organizations for the quality of its work environment and the high level of its customer service.  It has twice been named one of the Best Places to Work in PA, and cited as a Psychologically Healthy Workplace by the Pennsylvania Psychological Association.  Last year, the company won a Bronze Stevie Award as one of the best call centers in the country.
