February wholesale prices were similar to January’s – more in line the general softening pattern that began in mid-2012 but were disrupted by Superstorm Sandy. ADESA Analytical Services’ Wholesale Used Vehicle Prices by Vehicle Model Class averaged $9,752 in February, down 2.8% from January and 1.2% from February 2012.

Nearly Every Segment Was Down Month-Over-Month from January:
Mini SUVs was only segment to show an increase – up 1.9% over January.
Manufacturer Remarketed Vehicles Up 1% in Prices Year-Over-Year but Not as Strong as Last Month’s 7.7% Increase:
Despite tapering, off-rental program vehicles continued to show price strength.
Fleet/Lease Flat Year-Over-Year and Dealer Consignors Down 4.5%:
Prices were down on month-over-month basis for all three seller groups.
