The White House took a stand Friday on the controversial issue of hydraulic fracturing (fracking) for oil and natural gas on public lands, requiring disclosure of chemicals used in the process. It’s a softer proposed regulation this time – oil companies will have to reveal the composition of fluids only they’ve completed drilling.
