Solar-powered transportation modules offer huge potential for emissions reductions and reducing the crippling effect of rising fuel prices. Switzerland’s Solar Impulse Team said its airplane, which is the first designed to fly day and night without requiring fuel or producing carbon emissions, will soar to Brussels this week. The Solar Impulse has 12,000 solar cells built into its 193-foot wings.
