Wheels, Inc. has announced the appointment of Sandra Wilson as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
Wilson, who joined Wheels on November 18, oversees the company’s entire North American operations, including its call centers, human resources group, and quality control department. She is also responsible for a number of service execution departments like vehicle acquisitions, remarketing, compliance services and truck engineering.
“Our decision to select Sandra as COO was the culmination of an extensive search for an experienced process management expert who could bring new levels of creativity and versatility to Wheels’ leadership team,” said Dan Frank, President of Wheels Services and Chief Technology Officer. “Sandra’s impressive track record of strong customer service values, focus on quality and innovation, and ability to inspire great teams made her the clear choice to fill that role.”
Wilson has more than 30 years of experience in operational leadership, performance management and team development. She most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Chicago Metallic Corporation, a global supplier of commercial ceiling products. She previously spent 13 years at Illinois Tool Works, a Fortune 200 equipment and systems manufacturer, where she rose to the role of Vice President of Strategic Planning.
Wilson graduated from Northwestern University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, and earned her Master of Business Administration degree, with concentrations in Finance and Marketing, from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. She holds several patents and is trained to teach various lean manufacturing and operating management programs.
