An AutoMD.com study showed that do it yourself-ers are taking on motor repairs, especially in response to the economic downturn. The study explains that more drivers are likely to take on more involved repairs in order to save time and money. Ninety-percent of DIYers report doing either the same amount, or more (42%), of their own auto repairs and maintenance this year versus one year ago.
