Fleetio Delivers Measurable 2025 Results, Advancing Fleetio Platform Vision Fleetio Delivers Measurable 2025 Results, Advancing Fleetio Platform Vision

Fleetio, a leading fleet maintenance and optimization platform, announced performance milestones for the second half (H2) of 2025.

This momentum reflects the company’s shift beyond a system of record toward an operating system built to support real execution through practical intelligence, automation, and connected maintenance workflows.

A central focus of Fleetio’s H2 momentum was reducing the time fleets spend on managing operations. Artificial intelligence-powered automation showed strong adoption, with Smart Uploads reducing service entry time by up to 90%.

Fleet Logistics

By Lori Rasmussen, President, PARS

For more than two decades, PARS has had a singular focus: helping fleet managers move vehicles safely, efficiently, and in strict alignment with their operational and policy requirements.

I’m proud to share that mission has expanded in a meaningful and transformative way. PARS has been acquired by RPM, a company with extensive experience in large-scale carrier transport, vehicle logistics and transportation technology.

From the perspective of fleet professionals, this acquisition shifts the conversation. It moves us beyond a traditional, mode-specific approach to vehicle relocation toward a full-spectrum logistics platform.

For fleet managers navigating the next phase of vehicle logistics, this is not just an evolution. It is an opportunity to work with a partner built for what lies ahead.

Fleet Remarketing

By Bill Bishop, SVP of Sales and Marketing, FLD Remarketing

Part 2 of a 2 part report: we look at 2026. Part 1, a look back at 2025, appeared last week.

My prediction is that barring a catastrophic event – i.e., a major geo-political upheaval or a meltdown in world financial markets, 2026 should be a very similar year to both 2024 and 2025 for the wholesale used vehicle markets.

In our estimation, this is a positive sign for fleet and commercial vehicles. Especially given that it will result in the third straight year of predictable, manageable volume and pricing – which is even better!

However, whether you’re a top fleet manager, FMC, or even a service provider like our team here FLD, the only thing that we know for sure is that we really don’t know all that much until things play out on the world and domestic stages.

Tariffs are likely to dominate the news cycle again in 2026. While there’s little doubt they will have a more profound effect on the new vehicle market than the used wholesale market, it’s equally as likely the uncertainty around them will hang over the entire industry.

This US State Wants to Put a Leash on License Plate Readers

A Bill is working its way through the Washington State Senate that could place limits on how Automated license plate readers (ALPRs) are used within the state. SB 6002 seeks to establish some rules around how these surveillance systems are used to collect data.

Both the data and images are used by a wide variety of law enforcement agencies within the state for purposes including toll collection, direct law enforcement, and traffic monitoring.

The problem that legislators in Washington state and so many others have with ALPRs is their use as a potential back door for federal immigration law enforcement.

EVs Are Quietly Cleaning Up the Air. This New Study Proves It

A new study from the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine used satellite data to confirm that zero-emission cars do have a clear and positive impact on air quality.

Published in The Lancet Planetary Health, the new study pulled high-resolution satellite data from the Tropospheric Monitoring Instrument (TROPOMI) that can detect nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) in the atmosphere by measuring how the gas absorbs and reflects sunlight, according to Phys.org. This data was then used to calculate the annual average NO₂ levels in each California neighborhood from 2019 to 2023.

So, what did all this data show? For every 200 new zero-emissions vehicles registered in a California neighborhood between 2019 and 2023, NO₂ levels dropped by 1.1%.

Hyundai, Kia Reveal New Safety Tech That Detects Visually Obstructed Objects

Hyundai and Kia have jointly announced Vision Pulse, a new application of existing technology that the automakers hope will increase pedestrian and road safety.

Vision Pulse builds on the array of cameras, radar and ultrasonic sensors modern safety technologies use to see around them, expanding the vehicle’s field of vision through obstacles including buildings and other road users.

Vision Pulse utilizes ultra-wideband wireless signals, the same bandwidth used by your smartphone’s Find My feature. UWB also enables Apple’s AirDrop and Android’s Quick Share touchless file-transfer functions. Vision Pulse uses a module installed on the vehicle to emit a UWB signal, which is returned by any nearby device with UWB technology.

IIHS Launches New Whiplash Prevention Test

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is launching a new seat and head restraint evaluation targeting neck injuries stemming from rear-end crashes. Only four out of the first 18 small SUVs tested earn a good rating.

“Neck sprains and strains are the most frequently reported injuries in U.S. auto insurance claims,” IIHS President David Harkey said. “This new test challenges automakers to further improve their seats and head restraints to provide better protection in the rear impacts that typically cause these injuries.”

The good performers in the new whiplash prevention test include the Audi Q3, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Subaru Forester and Toyota RAV4.

Fleet Remarketing

By Bill Bishop, SVP of Sales and Marketing, FLD Remarketing

For the most part, 2025 was a year of what I’d call – almost – predictable depreciation. One that was very similar to the patterns we experienced in 2024. Free of drama (sans initial tariff shock) and wild swings – a good thing.

As we look back, those predictable patterns included a modest 4-6% increase in the price of all used wholesale vehicles over week’s 3 through 13 – pretty much what we expected.

Over the subsequent 6 weeks, values held steady before we saw some minor volatility in early April – again, pretty much what we had predicted and a similar pattern to what the market experienced in 2024.
