The National Biodiesel Board is gearing up for its tenth National Biodiesel Conference & Expo February 4-7 in Las Vegas. One of the key topics of discussion will be what happened on New Year’s Day news from Washington – the $1 per gallon tax credit for B100 fuel would be extended through 2013 – and applied retroactively for 2012.
Former Senator Byron Dorgan is the keynote speaker on Wednesday, February 6. He’s well known for his passion for domestically produced renewable energy is stronger than ever, according to the NBB. Also in Las Vegas, NBB will celebrate its 20th anniversary as an association. The NBB 2013 conference and trade show will take place at the Mirage Hotel.
“The conference serves as a springboard for the industry, as production and market demand tend to rise sharply soon after,” NBB president Joe Jobe says on the meeting website. “We routinely hear from exhibitors that the deals made at this event affect their balance sheets all year long. Demographics show most of our attendees are high-level decision makers in their fields. Those who reach them first will be two steps ahead of their competitors.”
