In an effort to revitalize resale values of their vehicles, Detroit automakers are reducing the numbers being sold to rental companies and fleets. Car rental companies are scrambling to find replacements. Foreign automakers seem anxious to fill the void, but it appears to be a seller’s market driving rental rates up for consumers.
