Highway Loss Data Institute predicts that the increasing number of older drivers on American roads will not be causing more collisions. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s research arm just released this finding in a new study. The forecast that collision claims will remain essentially flat through 2030 has more to do with the fact that the number of teen drivers is expected to decrease, and this group has the highest collision rate.
