Ford has put robots to work at its large test track in the suburbs of Northern Detroit, using the technology for tedious tasks such as test driving vehicles like its new transit van. According to Ford, the robotic system is now used for more than 70% of the durability testing done at the company’s Michigan Proving Ground.
